Why Movement Matters in the Early Years

Movement is more than exercise

The early years are a crucial time for coordination, confidence, body awareness and emotional regulation.

Playful movement, storytelling and yoga-inspired activities give children real tools. Tools they can carry into how they move, connect and manage their feelings.

Yoga in an early years setting isn't about getting poses right. It's about giving children room to move, explore, connect and build confidence.

The Mini Movers Story

Created by an experienced children's yoga educator

Hi, I'm Heather, founder of Mini Movers Toddler Yoga Teacher Training.

I help yoga teachers and early years practitioners understand toddler development through yoga, and turn that understanding into playful, meaningful, structured movement sessions for children aged 1 to 5.

My approach brings together yoga, child development and imaginative play. The result is sessions that support the whole child, not just the physical.
